Geet lost her senses after reading the news. What is this rubbish?
“Geet, the only niece of Pratap Singh, a well known businessman of the city, was kidnapped 2 days ago while going to college. The police of the entire city were searching for her. Pratap Singh himself was very upset. Last evening, Geet’s body was found in a ditch outside the city. She was probably put in a car and dropped from the mountain. Both the car and the body were badly burned. Geet was identified by her clothes and necklace. Like an ocean of sorrow has broken on Pratap Singh.
Geet’s entire body trembled. “So that’s why Maan took my clothes.” she thought. With a trembling body and ember eyes, she went out to find Manu.
It was a three-storied old building. Geet was locked in the top room. She found Maan in the room on the ground floor. Maan was cleaning his guns. While aiming the gun at straight, he found Geet who was standing at the door all angry and fuming.
“You haven’t gone yet?” He ignores Geet.
“What is all this,” she threw the newspaper towards Maan.
“I thought you know to read English”
“I read. That’s why I am asking what is this all about?”
“That you should ask those newspaper people” Maan answered with a secret smile. His grin was making Geet more angry.
“I know you have done all this. You have given this wrong news to the newspapers.”
“When you know everything then why this question?” Maan took another gun to clean it. He was just ignoring her.
“It is just a regret that I do not know everything. But I will know one day. And the day I got to know everything, that day will be the last day of you.”
“Too proud of yourself?” Maan gave a challenge look.
“You have not seen my pride yet. You don’t even know what you’ve done. You have entered the lion’s den. You don’t know my uncle. He will not leave you alive anymore. I am going but keep this newspaper with you. The day you will be in police custody, this newspaper will make you realize the biggest mistake of your life.
“Where are you going” Maan questioned without looking at her.
“You have freed me. Now you don’t have the right to ask the question.
“”I was just asking, that should I leave you outside the forest? Those people still will not forget you.” There was a prank in Maan’s voice.
“You will be the last person Maan, to whom I will ask for help.” Saying proudly she left but this was a fact for Geet. How will she face them all, all alone?
